STATEMENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SUNDERLAND OF SUNDERLAND STUDENTS' UNION TO THE STUDENT BODY

IN light of the current situation being imposed by NATFHE (The University and College Lecturers' Union) members, the University of Sunderland Students' Union sympathises with the initial cause for action.

However we as your representatives, feel that it is inappropriate to withhold assessments and examination results from the appropriate Boards, which we feel will result in direct negative consequences for you.

We do not wish to alarm you by issuing this statement. We urge you to continue as normal, ie. keep handing in assignments and attending exams. If you encounter any problems, or need clarification of the situation, please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Executive Committee, or the Students' Union Advice Centre Staff.
