WIN STUFF!

Last year, seeing the apparently-spontaneous combustion of both Melody Maker and Select, we at Degrees North are happy beyond words to see the uprising of a new generation of magazines who love their music. Those lovely people at Rock Sound magazine - who celebrate their second birthday later this year - have sent Degrees North four gift packs.

These contain back issues of their glossy mag, clean T shirts (sounds good to me), Rock Sound stickers, various free CDs and, best of all, a Rock Sound cigarette lighter and bottle opener combined. All you need to do to get your grubby hands on one of the four - count 'em! - goodie bags, is answer the following question that our grumpy and stressed editor thought of:

'Describe in ten words why the popular musical genre of 'nu-metal' is so utterly poo'.

To enter, email degrees-north@sunderland.ac.uk with your answers. Go, Go, Go!
