HIT THE TOWN
March 7th at The Ropery, Sunderland sees something special
going down. Miss Black America, described as 'band of the
moment' by John Peel, come to play their amphetamine speed
punk chaos to you lucky kids, thanks to Freekshow promotions
and Potato Army Fanzine.
After
having the NME announce 'thank god for Miss Black America'
and having shed loads of radio play on Peel, Lamacq et al,
they had quite a year in 2001. This year should see the band
go on to bigger and better things, and with their ear for
a catchy pop tune, as well as their strong belief in political
independent culture, this is surely something to be applauded.
We
