DIGI-CLIP TV COMIN' AT CHA!

Are you funny? Can you write? Being at university, we assume that you have basis writing skills and a sense of humor. Combine the two now, get on TV and get paid, as, starting this year, Thames Television is producing a new series for mainstream TV, consisting of funny and original short films or self-penned sketches, all from members of the public. Called 'Digi-Clip TV' it isn't another 'You've Been Framed; it is principally different, as it will only show films and sketches that show creativity and a comic talent and that are specially written or filmed for the show.

'Digi-Clip TV' is looking for comedians, film enthusiasts, actors and writers. Anyone with a sense of humor and a camcorder can earn up to £250 and this, is how it works. A fee of £250 is paid for every pre-filmed and pre-edited 'Digi-Clip', short film or sketch that is shown and £100 is paid for every written piece sent in that Thames Television subsequently produces and shows. Sketches can be as short as ten seconds, but no longer than two minutes and all entries can be done via the Internet.

Executive Producer, Liam Hamilton says; 'With the advance of home recording and editing facilities, would-be script writers now have the opportunity to create and film fresh material, digitally edit it on their own PCs, and send the MPEGs directly to a TV outlet, which really does make the public the stars in their own right'.

The initial pilot will be called 'The World's Funniest Digi-Clips', with a follow-up series, 'Digi-Clip TV', shown later in the year. Edited MPEG files or written sketches can be emailed to clips@digicliptv.com and, if Thames Television like the script, they will make it for you. For more information and how to send films by the more traditional method of posting letters with films in VHS or High 8 format, go to www.digicliptv.com today.
