BAGPUSS
HITS THE ROAD!
Everyone's favorite pink 'n' white, cute 'n' cuddly cloth
cat is going on the road! The Newcastle based 'Folkworks'
organisation is embarking on its first tour featuring songs
and music from the cult TV series, Bagpuss.
The show features folk musicians Sandra Kerr and John Faulker
who wrote the original music for the series and were the voices
of the characters Madeleine the Ragdoll and Gabriel the Toad!
The tour will take place from the 9th until the 24th of February
and is aimed at children of all ages - including the grown
up ones who remember Bagpuss the first time round.
The audience will be invited to join in with the action, singing
songs, chants and squeaking to the mouse organ - you can even
come dressed up as your favorite Bagpuss character! Aaw! How
can you resist?!
The tour will visit twelve venues across England but all you
need to know is that the lovely Bagpuss and his cohorts will
be coming to the North East on Tuesday 19th February. The
show will be at Newcastle Playhouse with performances at 1.30pm
and 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 or a measly £6 with
a student card.
For bookings call the Box Office on (0191) 230 5151.
